Jack C. McCaskill

Jack received his Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2023 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Political Science at the University of Victoria. He started his law career in Edmonton, Alberta at Ogilvie LLP before coming back to Victoria to continue his law career. Before practicing law, Jack worked in the area of policy in various government departments in British Columbia.

In his law practice, Jack primarily focuses on civil litigation including family law. Jack also prioritizes practical and cost-effective solutions, working to resolve disputes in a timely manner with an eye to managing legal expenses. Jack enjoys working collaboratively and he  is also prepared to advocate for his clients’ interests in court, ensuring they receive effective representation.

Jack’s compassion is evident in his community involvement and volunteer work. He has volunteered in the legal profession, working with Pro Bono Law Alberta and with the Student Legal Services’ Criminal Project. He has also dedicated his time to volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross and a search and rescue team.

As a former athlete, Jack has competed at a national level in both rugby and wrestling.  These days, in his spare time, Jack enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and exploring the outdoors.
